From His Tongue — Aḥmad al-ʿAlawīمِنْ كَلَامِهِ

Shaykh Ahmad al-ʿAlāwī ق: "Do you want to know what is lacking in you?" Marcel Carret: "Yes, what?" Shaykh Ahmad al-ʿAlāwī ق: "To be one of us and to see the Truth, you lack the desire to raise your Spirit above yourself. And that is irremediable."
